Poppy Seed Waffles with Berry Sauce

Ingredients
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 80 g poppy seed mix
- 200 g Flour
- 200 g Sour Cream
- Salt
- butter (for greasing)
- 600 g mixed berries (frozen)
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 100 ml whipping cream
Instructions

Cream the butter with the sugar. Separate the eggs and gradually fold in the yolks with the poppy seed mix. Sift the flour over and stir in the sour cream. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff, then fold into the batter.

Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it with butter. Pour 1–2 tbsp of batter onto the iron and bake golden waffles one at a time. Let finished waffles cool on a wire rack.

Bring the berries and sugar to a boil in a pot and simmer for 3–4 minutes. Puree and strain through a fine sieve if desired. Whip the cream halfway stiff and fold into the sauce.

Arrange the waffles with the berry sauce on top and serve.
