Plum Cake

Ingredients
- 100 g butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g sugar
- 0.5 untreated lemon (zest)
- 200 g Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- butter (for the pan)
- bread crumbs (for the pan)
- 1 kg plums
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs (to sprinkle)
Instructions

Beat room‑temperature butter with sugar and a pinch of salt until fluffy. Gradually fold in eggs. Then add lemon zest and flour mixed with baking powder, stirring to form a smooth dough; if the dough is too thick, add a little milk.

Grease the pan with butter and dust it with bread crumbs. Pour in the batter and level the surface.

Wash and pit the plums. Starting from the outside, arrange them in a circular pattern over the batter.

Sprinkle 2 tbsp of bread crumbs on top and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan) for about 45–50 minutes. Let cool in the pan.

Before serving, release the cake from the pan and dust with powdered sugar.
