Ingredients

  • 2 kg small firm salad cucumbers
  • 250 g salt
  • 1 bunch fresh dill
  • 6 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 2 onions (blue, cut into rings)
  • 2 tbsp peppercorns

Instructions

  1. 1.

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly under running water and let them drain. Rub each cucumber with plenty of salt and leave it overnight in a covered bowl.

  2. 2.

On the next day, place the cucumbers in larger, boiled jars, layering dill, onions, peppercorns, and garlic slices between layers. Distribute remaining salt over the jars. Pour cooled boiled water over, ensuring the cucumbers are fully submerged. Seal jars tightly. Let them sit at room temperature for about 7 days. Store refrigerated for up to 4 weeks.
