Pear Carpaccio by Spoonsparrow – a delicious starter for your next dinner!
Ingredients
- 2 pears
- 0.5 bunch basil (10 g)
- 50 g Roquefort cheese (52% fat in solids)
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (10 ml)
Instructions

Wash the pears, pat dry, halve them and remove the core. Slice the pears thinly with a mandoline. Wash the basil, shake off excess water, and tear the leaves into small pieces.

Wash the lime, pat dry, cut in half, squeeze out the juice and set aside. Combine lime juice, maple syrup, salt and pepper. Whisk in the olive oil. Crumble the Roquefort finely.
