Pasta with Ground Beef and Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 400 g cherry tomatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 400 g minced beef
- a splash red wine
- 400 g penne
- Salt
- 2 stems basil
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
Instructions

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash and quarter the cherry tomatoes.

Heat oil in a pan. Brown the minced beef over high heat for 3–4 minutes until crumbly. Add onion and garlic, cook on medium heat for 2–3 minutes, then deglaze with red wine. Add half of the tomatoes and simmer over very low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Wash basil, shake dry, and pluck leaves.

After cooking, add remaining tomatoes and oregano to the sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.

Drain the pasta, mix with the sauce, and divide among four plates. Garnish with basil and serve immediately.
