Ingredients
- 2 large apples
- 150 g chicken liver
- 1 tbsp walnut kernels
- 1 Shallot
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp freshly chopped marjoram
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- olive oil (for greasing the dish)
- cranberries (jarred)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan‑forced. Grease a baking dish with olive oil.

Wash the apples, halve them and remove the core. Wash the liver, pat dry and finely chop it. Chop the walnuts. Peel and finely chop the shallot. Sauté in hot oil until translucent, then mix in marjoram, egg yolk and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper and spread over the apple halves. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown, then serve garnished with cranberries if desired.
