Oven-Baked Potatoes

Potato lovers beware: These spicy oven-baked potatoes from Spoonsparrow can be prepared in no time.

Ingredients

  • 800 g medium-sized waxy potatoes
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 120 g sour cream
  • 120 g Emmental cheese (block; 45% fat in the product)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Salt
  • white pepper

Instructions

    Wash potatoes thoroughly, pat dry, and spread on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for about 30 minutes until almost tender.

    Meanwhile peel the garlic and squeeze into the sour cream. Grate the Emmental finely and stir in the lemon juice. Season the cheese mixture with salt and pepper.

    Remove potatoes from the oven, let them cool briefly, then cut each in half lengthwise. Brush with the cheese sauce and bake for another 10 minutes on the top rack until golden brown.

    Take the oven-baked potatoes out, let them cool slightly, and serve.
