Orecchiette Pasta with Broccoli

Orecchiette pasta with broccoli and red chili pepper: broccoli is one of the most beneficial vegetables, full of vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds.

Ingredients

  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 small red chili pepper
  • 600 g Broccoli
  • Salt
  • 150 g orecchiette pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • black pepper
  • 30 g pecorino cheese (1 piece)

Instructions

    Peel and chop the garlic. Cut the chili pepper in half, remove seeds, wash, and roughly chop it. (If you like it very hot, leave the seeds in.)

    Clean the broccoli, cut into florets, rinse, and boil in plenty of salted water for 3 minutes.

    Remove the broccoli with a slotted spoon and drain.

    Add the orecchiette to the boiling water and cook until al dente according to package instructions.

    Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan, sauté garlic, chili, and pine nuts over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Add the broccoli and continue cooking for another 3 minutes while stirring.

    Drain the pasta in a colander, let it drain well, then add it to the vegetables and mix thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper.

    Grate pecorino cheese over the pasta and serve immediately.
