Orange Gelée with Papaya, Cinnamon and Star Anise

Ingredients
- 4 untreated oranges
- 200 g diced papaya fruit flesh
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 star anise
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 800 g gelatin sugar

Wash the oranges hot and slice two into very thin rounds. Cut the remaining two in half and squeeze out the juice.

Pour 750 ml water with lemon juice, orange juice, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, star anise and the sugar into a pot and bring to a boil while stirring; let it bubble for 3-4 minutes. Add the papaya cubes, then bring back to a boil.

Remove the pot from heat and perform a setting test. Pour the hot gelée into prepared canning jars. Seal the jars immediately and place them on the lids to cool. While the gelée fully cools, turn it several times so that the orange slices distribute evenly before the gelée sets.
