Orange Carpaccio

The Orange Carpaccio from Spoonsparrow is a delicious vegan alternative to the Italian classic.

Ingredients

  • 6 oranges
  • 2 small red onions
  • 30 g almond sticks
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Peel the oranges thoroughly with a knife, removing the white pith as well. Slice the oranges into thin rounds and leave them whole or halve them depending on size. Arrange the orange slices on plates.

    Peel the onions and cut them into fine rings. Distribute the onion rings over the orange carpaccio.

    Roast the almonds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until golden brown, then remove and let cool.
