Ingredients

  • 400 g puff pastry
  • 75 g hazelnuts
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 75 g blanched almond kernels
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch vanilla essence
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 40 g icing sugar

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) with top and bottom heat.

    Roll the dough into a circle about 40 cm in diameter. For the filling, blend the hazelnuts with honey and 2 tbsp water in a blender until fine. Also finely grind the almonds, mix them with the egg in a bowl, then stir in the hazelnuts, cinnamon, and vanilla essence. Spread thinly over the dough. Cut the dough circle from the center into 12 triangular pieces.

    Roll each piece into a horn shape toward the center and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Whisk the egg yolk with 2 tbsp water and brush the horns. Sprinkle with icing sugar and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
