Ingredients

  • 250 g marzipan base
  • 20 ml orange liqueur
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 20 g peeled almond kernels
  • 20 g peeled pistachios (unsalted)
  • 50 g nut brittle
  • 200 g dark chocolate couverture (min. 70% cocoa content)
  • chocolate coffee bean

Instructions

    Combine the marzipan with the liqueur and lemon zest in a bowl and mash with a fork.

    Chop the almonds and pistachios, then mix thoroughly with the brittle into the marzipan mixture.

  3. 3.

    Shape walnut-sized balls from the dough and place them in the refrigerator to chill.

  4. 4.

    Melt the chocolate couverture over a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.

  5. 5.

    Using a praliné fork, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate and set on a wire rack to drain.

    Before the chocolate sets, press a chocolate coffee bean onto each ball.
