Ingredients
- soft butter (for the baking pan)
- flour (for the baking pan)
- 150 g soft butter
- 80 g sugar
- 160 g flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 50 g walnut kernels
- 50 g Raisins
- 60 g soft butter
- 220 g sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 70 ml Maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 0.5 tsp Baking powder
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with top and bottom heat. Butter the baking pan and dust it with flour.

Beat the soft butter and sugar together using a stand mixer with dough hooks until well combined. Add the flour and salt, knead into a workable dough. Spread and press the dough onto the bottom of the pan. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the dough turns golden brown. Remove and let cool.

Coarsely chop the walnuts, mix with raisins, and sprinkle over the base. Beat butter with sugar until it forms peaks. Whisk eggs one at a time thoroughly. Then stir in maple syrup, flour, salt, and baking powder, pour the mixture over the cake. Bake again for about 25 minutes until the topping sets.
