Ingredients
- 1 Garlic clove
- 800 g waxy potatoes
- 350 ml whipping cream
- 2 EL crème fraîche
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- 2 EL coarse mustard seeds
Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C with fan and top heating.

Peel and halve the garlic clove. Rub a baking dish with the cut sides of the garlic. Wash, peel and slice or shave the potatoes thinly. Spread them evenly in the dish.

Whisk together the cream and crème fraîche, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg, then pour over the potatoes so they are almost covered. Brush the top with mustard seeds and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.

If desired, turn on the grill during the last 10 minutes to crisp the upper layer of potatoes.
