Ingredients

  • 1 untreated lime
  • 40 ml soda water
  • 1 bar spoon fine white cane sugar
  • 1 stalk basil
  • crushed ice
  • 40 ml white rum

Instructions

    Cut the lime into thin wedges and set aside one wedge for garnish.

    Add a splash of soda water to the glass and dissolve the sugar in it. Rinse the basil, shake dry, pick off the leaves and add them with the lime wedges to the glasses. Gently crush with a muddler and fill the glasses with crushed ice. Pour the rum over, stir lightly with a bar spoon, and top up with the remaining soda water.
