Ingredients

  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 600 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (dill and mint)
  • chili powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • breadcrumbs (as needed)
  • vegetable oil (for frying)
  • fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the garlic. In a bowl mix the ground meat, egg, herbs, chili, salt, and pepper well. Add breadcrumbs until the mixture is firm enough to shape. Cover and refrigerate.

    For the sauce peel the pearl onions and sauté them in hot oil until golden brown. Deglaze with sherry and broth, add raisins, and simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in lemon juice mixed with starch to lightly thicken the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
