Marinated Veal Skewers

Marinated veal skewers from Spoonsparrow are perfect for a grill night with friends.

Ingredients

  • 200 g red onions (3 red onions)
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 25 g Ginger (1 piece)
  • 250 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 3 tsp Curry powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • 600 g veal cutlets from the top loin
  • 1 Mango
  • 0.5 Pineapple

Instructions

    Peel and cube one onion, garlic, and ginger for the marination. Mix with yogurt, honey, lime juice, curry powder, cayenne pepper, and salt; blend into a smooth paste using an immersion blender.

    Trim veal cutlets, pat dry, then slice into 2 cm thick strips and further into 4 cm long pieces. Toss in the marinade and refrigerate for 6–8 hours, preferably overnight.

    Peel remaining onions and halve them. Peel mango; cut flesh into 2 cm thick slices off the pit and cube. Peel pineapple, remove core, slice flesh into 2 cm thick rounds and cube as well.

    Remove meat from the marinade. Alternate threading onion cubes, mango cubes, and pineapple cubes onto eight skewers. Grill over high heat for 12–15 minutes, turning several times until charred and cooked through.
