Marinated Tuna with Avocado Dip

Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh tuna fillet (ready to cook)
  • 1 untreated lime
  • 2 tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp ginger oil
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 ripe Avocado
  • 70 g cream cheese (plain)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp wasabi

Instructions

    Wash the tuna, pat dry, remove skin and tendons, and cut into 1.5 cm cubes. Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice. Peel and finely grate the ginger. Mix the lime juice with the ginger, soy sauce, and oil, seasoning with pepper. Place the tuna cubes in the mixture and let marinate for about 2 hours.

    Meanwhile, halve the avocado, remove the pit, press the flesh out of the skin, and dice finely. Blend the diced avocado with cream cheese and lemon juice in a blender until smooth, then season with salt and pepper.

    Remove the tuna cubes from the marinade, pat dry, and skewer two cubes on each wooden stick. Spoon the avocado cream into small bowls and place one tuna skewer beside each bowl. Serve sprinkled with wasabi, pepper, and salt.
