Ingredients
- 500 g penne
- Salt
- 500 g pre‑cooked sardine fillets
- 1 untreated lemon
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- a pinch of sugar
- pepper (ground)
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Cook the penne in salted water until al dente.

Rinse the sardines, pat dry and cut into bite‑sized pieces. Wash the lemon hot, zest it and squeeze out the juice. Peel and finely chop the garlic. In a non‑stick pan, sauté the garlic, pine nuts and sardines in hot olive oil for 2–3 minutes. Deglaze with lemon juice and mix in the drained pasta with a splash of pasta water, lemon zest, and parsley. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper, then serve immediately.
