Lemon Ceviche from Cod

Ingredients

  • 3 limes
  • 0.5 bunch cilantro leaves
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • Salt
  • sugar
  • 300 g cod fillet (sashimi quality)
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 Avocado

Instructions

    Halve the limes and squeeze out the juice. Pick off cilantro leaves, peel the garlic, and finely chop both together. Season lime juice with cilantro, garlic, salt, and a pinch of sugar. Set aside the dressing.

    Rinse the cod fillet, pat dry, cut into hazelnut-sized pieces, and lightly season with salt. Peel the onion, halve it, and slice into strips. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, scoop out the flesh with a spoon, and dice finely.
