Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • whipped cream
  • 200 g raspberry jam
  • 50 g powdered sugar

Instructions

    Combine flour, butter, and sour cream in a mixing bowl and work briefly with the dough hooks of an electric hand mixer; then knead on a lightly floured surface into a smooth dough. Cover the dough and chill for about 1 hour.

    Roll out the dough to about 4 mm thickness on a lightly floured surface and cut out heart shapes. Place half of the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with whipped cream.

    Using a smaller heart cutter, cut small hearts from the remaining dough, brush them with whipped cream, and place them on top of the first set of cookies on the baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) in the lower third for about 15 minutes until light brown; remove and let cool on the tray.

    For the filling, simmer the raspberry jam for about 3 minutes while stirring until it bubbles; spoon the hot jam into the hearts and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
