Heart-Shaped Cookies

Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 100 g sugar
- Salt
- 1 egg
- 200 g butter
- sugar (for the work surface)
- 2 tbsp raspberry juice
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 120 g raspberry jam

Mix the flour with the sugar and a pinch of salt, sift onto the work surface, press a well in the middle, crack the egg into it and distribute the butter in flakes around the well. Quickly knead everything by hand into a smooth shortcrust dough, shape into a ball and wrap in cling film for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 180°C with upper and lower heat.

Roll the dough out thinly (0.4 cm) on a sugar‑dusted work surface and cut out hearts. From half of the hearts punch a small heart in the center and place the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven 8–10 minutes until light yellow.

Remove, lift the cookies off the parchment with a spatula and let them cool.

Whisk the powdered sugar with the raspberry juice into a thick glaze.

Warm the jam slightly and lightly brush it over the whole cookies. Place another cookie on top and let dry. Brush the jam center with the glaze and let dry again.
