Healthy hot chocolate from Spoonsparrow is perfect for clean‑eating fans and can be made sugar‑free.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 2 seedless soft dates
  • 250 ml almond drink (almond milk) or another plant‑based milk alternative
  • cocoa nibs (or vegan whipped cream to taste)

Instructions

    Blend the cocoa, cinnamon, soft dates (use 2 or 3 depending on desired sweetness) and chosen plant milk with a hand blender until the dates are finely pureed.

    Heat the mixture slowly in a pot.

    Pour into a cup and top with optional vegan whipped cream, cocoa nibs, and a dusting of cocoa powder.
