Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 1 kg)
  • 2 stalks fresh parsley
  • 40 g liquid butter
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 0.5 tsp paprika powder

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C with fan and top heating or grill setting.

    Wash and pat the chicken dry. Season the inside with salt and pepper. Wash the parsley, shake off excess water, and place it in the cavity of the chicken.

    Brush the chicken generously with liquid butter and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

    Place the chicken on a grilling rack in the oven (slide a fat pan underneath) or skewer it and roast for about 1 hour until crisp. Brush with butter occasionally.
