Grilled Zucchini Flowers
These grilled zucchini flowers from Spoonsparrow are always a hit on the grill!
Ingredients
- 8 zucchini flowers
- 2 dried tomatoes
- 3 stems Oregano
- 1 Lime
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 50 g Pecorino cheese
- Salt
- black pepper
Instructions

Remove the pointed outer sepals around the stem bases.

Gently open the flowers, remove the stamens, and trim the lower ends of the petals.

Finely chop the dried tomatoes. Wash the oregano, shake off excess moisture, pluck the leaves, finely chop them and combine with freshly squeezed lime juice in a bowl.

Stir in the olive oil.

Grate the pecorino cheese finely with a microplane or vegetable peeler.

Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill. Grill the flowers over medium heat for about 4–5 minutes on all sides, then transfer to a plate. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle immediately with the prepared sauce, sprinkle the grated cheese on top, and let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
