Grilled Steak with Tomato

Ingredients

  • 600 g beef steak (4 steaks of 150 g each; e.g., ribeye)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp peppercorns
  • Sea salt
  • 2 sprigs thyme

Instructions

    Take the steaks out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before grilling. Wash and pat dry. Brush with oil and grill on a hot grill for 2–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness).

    Wash the tomatoes, halve them and cut off the stem ends. Brush with remaining oil and place on the grill cut-side down for 2–3 minutes.

    Crush the pepper in a mortar and mix with sea salt and trimmed thyme. Season the grilled steaks and tomatoes with this mixture and serve mustard on the side if desired.
