Grilled Salmon on Cedar Wood

Grilled salmon on cedar wood from Spoonsparrow melts on the tongue.

Ingredients

  • 2 shallots
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 Spring Onions
  • 10 g dill (0.5 bundle)
  • 0.5 lime
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 640 g salmon fillet (skinless, 4 fillets)

Instructions

    Soak the cedar wood board in water for at least one hour, preferably overnight.

    Peel and finely dice the shallots and garlic. Wash, trim, and chop the spring onions. Rinse the dill, shake dry, and finely chop the tips. Squeeze the lime. Combine all in a bowl with maple syrup and olive oil; season with salt and pepper.

    Rinse the salmon under cold water, pat dry, and spread the marinade over the fillets. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

    Place the marinated salmon on the soaked wood board and grill over high heat with the lid closed for about 15 minutes. Serve the warm salmon on the cedar board.
