Ingredients

  • 250 g dried white beans
  • 800 g ham roast (lightly cured)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt
  • sprinkle of lemon juice
  • white pepper

    Soak the beans overnight in water. Drain, then cover with fresh water and bring to a boil. Add a bay leaf and simmer gently for about 40 minutes.

    Slice the ham into thick pieces, brush with oil, and grill over high heat on both sides until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.

    Drain the beans, stir in butter, and season with salt, lemon juice, and white pepper. Plate with the grilled ham and serve.
