Grilled green asparagus is a perfect after-work recipe from Spoonsparrow – quick to make and healthy.
Ingredients
- 1 kg green asparagus
- Salt
- 1 tbsp melted butter (15 g)
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 untreated lemon (cut into wedges)

Peel the lower third of the asparagus, trim the woody ends, and blanch the spears in a pot of boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Drain, shock with cold water, and let drain.

Preheat the grill. Grill the asparagus, turning occasionally, for 3–5 minutes until charred. Wash, dry, and cut lemon into wedges. Arrange the asparagus on plates, drizzle with butter, season with salt and pepper, and garnish each spear with a lemon wedge. Serve grilled green asparagus immediately.
