Greek Salad
Healthy and tasty starter? Greek salad from Spoonsparrow is just right and always fits well.
Ingredients
- 1 cucumber
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 Red Onion
- 0.5 head romaine lettuce
- 1 green bell pepper
- 200 g sheep cheese (9% fat absolute)
- 100 g black olives (pitted)
- 4 tbsp white wine vinegar (60 ml each)
- 6 tbsp olive oil (60 ml each)
- Salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 handful fresh parsley (5 g)
- 1 handful thyme (5 g)
- 1 handful basil (5 g)

Wash the cucumber, remove the stem end and peel. Then cut lengthwise in half and slice into rounds. Wash tomatoes, clean them and cut into eighths. Peel onions, halve them and cut into fine half-rings. Wash lettuce thoroughly, shake dry and cut into about 1 cm wide strips. Wash bell pepper, deseed it and also cut into thin half-rings. Cube the sheep cheese and drain the olives well.

For the dressing whisk vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper together. Finely dice the garlic clove and stir in. Wash herbs, shake dry, finely chop them and add to the mixture as well.

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Drizzle with the dressing and let sit briefly to absorb flavors. Before serving sprinkle remaining herbs over the Greek salad and serve.
