Grandma's Savoy Cabbage Casserole with Ground Meat and Potatoes

Ingredients
- 600 g bofrost cream cabbage and waxy potatoes
- salt, freshly ground black pepper
- 1 onion
- oil for greasing the dish
- sugar
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 600 g mixed ground meat
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 2 tsp sambal oelek
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 150 g grated cheese

Place the cream cabbage in a bowl, cover and thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Wash the potatoes, boil them in salted water until tender, drain, peel, let cool slightly, then slice into rounds. Peel and finely dice the onion.

Grease a 20 x 30 cm baking dish and layer half of the potato slices. In a coated pan caramelize the sugar, add olive oil, then brown the ground meat and onion cubes lightly. Season with salt, tomato paste, and sambal oelek.

Spread the meat mixture over the potato layers. Season the cream cabbage with salt and pepper to taste and layer it on top of the meat. Cover with the remaining potato slices and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. After 20 minutes, scatter grated cheese over the dish and gratinate until golden.
