Ingredients

  • 200 g cod fillet
  • 50 g Heavy cream
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 10 wonton wrappers (Asian market)
  • 600 ml oil (for frying)
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 5 tbsp vegetable broth (instant)
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 0.25 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. 1.

Chop or finely dice the cod fillet, mix with heavy cream, salt and pepper. Shape small balls from the fish mixture using damp hands.

  2. 2.

Cut wonton wrappers into thin strips, place in a shallow dish and roll the fish balls in them until they are loosely coated with strips. Do not press them down.

  3. 3.

Fry the fish balls in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown all around.

  4. 4.

For the sweet-spicy sauce whisk olive oil, white wine vinegar, broth and honey together. Peel and finely chop garlic. Slice the chili pepper lengthwise, remove seeds and finely chop. Add both to the sauce, stir in chili powder and taste.
