Exotic Fondue

Ingredients

  • 3 cooking bananas
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ground allspice (cayenne pepper)
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 stalk leek
  • 0.5 fresh pineapple
  • 200 g shrimp
  • 1.5 l vegetable oil

Instructions

    Peel the bananas, drizzle with lime juice, and fry in hot butter for 10 minutes while turning. Season with allspice, pepper, and paprika. Wash and trim the leek, cut lengthwise into halves, then separate into individual leaves. Blanch in boiling salted water for 2 minutes, drain. Wrap each banana with 2-3 leek strips and secure with wooden skewers. Cut pineapple flesh into pieces.

    Heat oil in a pot, place on a fondue burner. Skewer bananas, shrimp, and pineapple onto fondue forks and fry until crisp.
