Dough Dumplings with Potato Filling

- 500 g flour
- 1 egg
- water
- 60 g Butter
- 500 g potatoes (cooked and mashed)
- 150 g sheep cheese
- 2 onions
- pepper (ground)
- Salt
- 2 tbsp butter

Mix all dough ingredients together and add enough water until the dough holds together. Roll the dough into a thin sheet and cut circles with a drinking glass. For the filling, peel and finely chop onions, then roast them in a little oil until light brown.

Crumble the sheep cheese into small pieces. Mix mashed potatoes with half of the roasted onions, sheep cheese, salt, and plenty of pepper to form a dough. Place some of the potato mixture onto each dough circle and fold the dough into a semi-circle.

Press the edges firmly together. Boil in plenty of salted water for about 15 minutes until cooked. Meanwhile, melt some butter. Drain the dumplings and serve immediately with roasted onions and melted butter.
