Ingredients

  • 400 g ground beef
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • Tabasco
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 sesame hamburger buns
  • 1 white vegetable onion
  • 100 g celery sticks
  • 4 Chinese cabbage leaves
  • 4 tbsp Ajvar (ready-made paprika sauce in a jar)
  • 4 tsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Curry powder
  • 0.5 bunch Chives

Instructions

    Season the ground beef with Tabasco (to taste), salt, and pepper and knead well. With damp hands shape four flat patties. Heat oil in a hot pan, sear the patties briefly on both sides, reduce heat and cook for another 2–3 minutes.

    Peel the onion and cut into rings.

    Wash, trim, and grate the celery into fine strips.

    Wash the Chinese cabbage and pat dry.

    Whisk Ajvar with ketchup, lemon juice, and curry powder.

    Halve the sesame buns, spread a little cream on each half. Place the lower halves on top of one Chinese cabbage leaf, celery strips, and onion rings; add the patty and garnish with chives if desired. Top with the upper bun halves.
