Chocolate Dessert with Orange

This chocolate dessert with orange is packed with antioxidants and is perfect as a dessert on festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • 200 g whipping cream
  • 100 ml milk (3.5 % fat)
  • 275 g dark chocolate (at least 70 % cocoa content)
  • 3 tbsp mild olive oil
  • 2 organic oranges
  • 50 g whole cane sugar
  • Fleur de sel

    Bring the cream and milk to a boil, then remove from heat. Roughly grate the chocolate and gently fold it into the warm liquid until melted. Add the olive oil and stir carefully, ensuring the mixture does not become too hot.

    Fill the chocolate custard into six small cups and let cool at room temperature.

    Meanwhile, rinse the oranges under hot water and halve them. Squeeze juice from one orange into a saucepan, and cut the other half into small pieces with its peel. Add sugar and 50 ml water to the orange juice and warm over low heat. Add the orange pieces and continue simmering until the syrup begins to caramelize slightly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Distribute the orange pieces over the desserts and sprinkle with a pinch of fleur de sel.
