Ingredients

  • 1 Vanilla bean
  • 1 egg
  • 130 g brown sugar
  • 150 g softened butter
  • 150 g spelt whole‑grain flour
  • 0.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 150 g chocolate chips

Instructions

    Scrape the seeds from the vanilla bean and mix with the egg and brown sugar. Then add the butter.

    Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; fold into the wet mixture. Finally stir in the chocolate chips.

    Drop spoonfuls of dough onto parchment‑lined baking sheets. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan or gas: level 3) for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
