Chicken Breast
Chicken breast in lime jelly is perfect for parties or picnics: great flavor, almost no calories, virtually no fat and plenty of protein!
Ingredients
- 800 g chicken breast fillet (4 chicken breast fillets)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
- 2 limes
- 3 sheets of white gelatin
- 125 ml classic vegetable broth
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tsp liquid flower honey
Instructions
-
1.
Wash the chicken breast fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
-
2.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Cook the chicken breast fillets over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side.
-
3.
Wash limes hot, dry them, grate the zest of one lime finely. Cut both limes in half and squeeze out the juice.
-
4.
Soak gelatin according to package instructions in cold water. Remove chicken from the pan and let it cool on a plate.
-
5.
Add lime juice and broth to the hot pan and bring to a boil while stirring. Strain the liquid through a very fine sieve into a bowl.
-
6.
Squeeze out excess water from the gelatin and dissolve it in the warm liquid. Add soy sauce and lime zest, taste with honey and mix well.
-
7.
Place chicken breast fillets in a tightly sealing food container (about 1.5 L capacity). Pour the lukewarm liquid over them and refrigerate until the liquid has gelled; this can take about 3 hours or longer. Before serving slice the chicken into pieces, cube the jelly and serve together.
