Ingredients
- 300 g horseradish
- 5 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 red chili pepper
- 225 g sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds
Instructions

Peel the horseradish and cut it into sticks.

Bring 1 l of water with the vinegar to a boil in a pot, add the horseradish and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile wash the chili and slice it into rings.

Remove the horseradish from the vinegar water and drain.

Heat 300 ml of water with the sugar, chili, and mustard seeds; place the horseradish sticks in and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes.

Then fill a jar with the horseradish, pour the syrup over it, seal, and let cool. The candied horseradish can be stored for about 6 months.
