Ingredients

  • 400 g fresh broccoli florets
  • Salt
  • 4 meat tomatoes
  • 400 g firm young potatoes
  • 400 g Kassler
  • pepper (ground)
  • 200 ml meat broth
  • 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Gouda, Emmental)

Instructions

    Clean the broccoli and blanch in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes. Drain, shock with cold water, and let drain.

    Wash the tomatoes, quarter them, remove stems, and cut into strips. Wash the potatoes and parboil in salted water for about 15 minutes. Drain, steam off excess water, and quarter.

    Preheat oven to 200°C (Oven + fan).

    Cut Kassler into small cubes. Mix broccoli with potatoes, tomatoes, and Kassler; transfer to a baking dish, season with salt and pepper, and pour over the broth. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven.

    Remove the finished gratin from the oven and serve immediately.
