- 500 g flour
- 30 g yeast
- 0.25 l milk
- 2 Eggs
- 70 g sugar
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.5 lemon (grated zest)
- 120 g butter
- 1 egg yolk
- butter (for the pan)

Sift flour into a bowl, create a well in the center. Dissolve yeast in milk and pour into the well; sprinkle some flour on the edges and cover for 15 minutes to rise. Stir in eggs, lemon zest, sugar, and salt. Fold in softened butter and knead until smooth.

Let rise for another 30 minutes. Shape into a ball and place in a well-greased springform pan; let rise again for 30 minutes. Brush with beaten egg yolk, cut a deep cross with a knife, and bake at 190°C (375°F) for 35 minutes until golden brown. Cool thoroughly before serving.
