The breaded cauliflower from Spoonsparrow is a perfect after-work recipe – quick to make, healthy and with fresh ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower (1000 g)
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp spelt whole-grain flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 50 g whole-grain breadcrumbs
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil

Instructions

    Clean and wash the cauliflower. Boil in salted water, ensuring it does not become too soft. Drain and cool, then slice into steaks.

    Mix the flour with a pinch of salt and pepper; coat each steak first in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs. Fry the cauliflower steaks on both sides in heated oil until golden brown.
