- 250 g goose fat (flamed)
- 1 apple
- 1 onion
- 2 sprigs marjoram
- Salt
- pepper (ground)
- 4 slices country bread

Dice the goose fat into small cubes. Peel and finely dice the apple and onion, then sauté them with the fat and a sprig of marjoram in a pot over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Let simmer gently for about 10 minutes, then strain through a sieve, season with salt and pepper, and allow to cool. Spread each mixture onto a slice of bread and sprinkle with the remaining chopped marjoram before serving.
