Beef Filet Steaks

Ingredients

  • 800 g Beef fillet (pre-cut ready to cook)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)

Instructions

    Slice the filet into four roughly equal thick slices, about 4 cm each, and gently flatten them so they have uniform thickness.

    Heat a pan over high heat, add the oil, and sear the steaks for about 1 minute on one side. Flip and sear the other side for another minute.

  3. 3.

    Reduce the heat and cook for an additional ~2 minutes, turning once. If you prefer pink steak, add butter now and continue cooking for another ~2 minutes, flipping occasionally and spooning melted butter over the meat.

    Remove from pan and season with salt and pepper.
