Ingredients

  • 250 g Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 250 g Mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp plant oil
  • 350 g Maultaschen
  • 75 g ham cubes
  • plant oil (for the dish)
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • ground pepper
  • freshly grated nutmeg
  • 100 g shredded Emmental cheese

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with upper and lower heat.

    Wash and halve the tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the onion. Clean and quarter the mushrooms. Sauté the onions in hot oil in a pan until translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes, allowing any released liquid to evaporate.

    Slice the Maultaschen into rounds. Layer the onion-mushroom mixture, sliced Maultaschen, tomatoes, and ham cubes in four oven-safe ramekins (or one large baking dish) that have been greased with oil.

    Whisk together the cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg; pour over the layers. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
