Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 400 g passata (canned)
  • 100 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • a pinch of coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 leek
  • 400 g gnocchi (preferably whole wheat)
  • 20 g Emmental cheese
  • 20 g Parmesan cheese

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent over medium heat. Add the tomatoes and simmer gently for about 10-15 minutes until thickened. Then pour in the milk and season with salt, pepper, oregano and coconut blossom sugar.

    Wash, clean and slice the leek into rings about 2 cm thick. Cook the leek and gnocchi in boiling salted water for about 2 minutes. Then drain well.

    Arrange the gnocchi and leek in a baking dish and pour over the tomato sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; Gas: Mark 3) for about 20 minutes.
