Ingredients

  • 225 g puff pastry
  • 3 apples (e.g., Boskop)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Raw cane sugar
  • 3 Tbsp apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (from raw cane sugar)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Let the puff pastry thaw side by side, then stack it again and roll it out to springform size. Line the greased pan with the dough and shape a rim about 3 cm high.

  2. 2.

Peel the apples, quarter them, remove the core, and cut into strips. Immediately drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with sugar.

  3. 3.

Arrange the apple slices in a tiled pattern on the dough. Bake the apple tart with puff pastry in a preheated oven at 200 °C (fan 180 °C; gas: level 3) for 25–30 minutes.

  4. 4.

Meanwhile, warm the apricot jam in a small pot and strain it through a sieve. Remove the finished cake from the oven and spread the jam over it while still warm. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
