Ingredients

  • 200 g soft butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 250 g low‑fat quark
  • 500 g flour
  • baking powder
  • 6-8 tbsp milk
  • 150 g marzipan raw mass
  • 2 tbsp apple jam
  • 25 g chopped almonds
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 40 g butter (for brushing)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Cream the butter, gradually beating in the sugar, eggs, and salt. Squeeze out the quark and fold it in. Mix the flour with baking powder and work it into the dough using a hand mixer until a pliable dough forms; add milk as needed. With lightly floured hands, press the dough onto a parchment‑lined tray into a thick oval (about 25 cm long, 16 cm wide).

  2. 2.

Roll the marzipan between cling film into an oval (about 20 cm long, 8 cm wide) and place it on one half of the dough. Spread apple jam over the marzipan and sprinkle with almonds. Quarter the apple, peel, core, and cut into small pieces; mix with cinnamon and spread over the marzipan. Cover the filling with the remaining dough, sealing the edges, and shape into a stollen with your hands.
