Ingredients
- 1.2 kg apples (variety: ornamental)
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch Cardamom
- 1 pinch ground ginger
- 500 g gelatine sugar (2:1)
- 10 ml dark rum
Instructions
-
1.
Remove stems and flower buds from the ornamental apples, wash thoroughly, and bring to a boil with about 80 ml water and lemon juice. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes until soft, then mash with a potato masher.

2.
Add cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger. Stir in sugar and bring to a vigorous boil for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly so the jam does not set. Remove from heat, stir in rum, and pour into hot sterilized jars.
