Ingredients

  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g ground almond kernels
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 170 g cold butter
  • flour (for working surface)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Mix the flour with the almonds and sugar, sift onto a work surface, press a well in the middle and crack the egg into it. Distribute the butter flakes around the well and use a knife to crumble all ingredients together. Quickly knead by hand into a smooth dough, shape into a ball and wrap in cling film before refrigerating.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 3 mm, cut circles with a 3 cm diameter ring cutter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove the finished rings, let them cool briefly and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
